The Elks Drug Awareness Program proudly presents the "Rookie of the Year Award" to honor a new state chairperson who has shown extraordinary dedication and achieved remarkable results in their initial year of tenure.
Qualification Criteria
- New Appointment: The award is open to any state chairperson who is in their first year of appointment.
- Exceptional Commitment: Nominees should show a high level of commitment to the drug awareness program.
- Significant Contributions: Despite being new to the role, the chairperson should have made significant contributions to the program in their state.
- Positive Impact: The efforts of the nominee should have resulted in a positive impact on the drug awareness initiatives within their jurisdiction.
Procedures for Nomination
- All members of the Elks Drug Awareness Program are eligible to nominate a state chairperson.
- Nominations should be accompanied by a detailed letter of recommendation that outlines the nominee's accomplishments, and any supporting documentation.
- Nominations should be submitted to the Drug Awareness Program directors by January 31st of each year.
Selection Process
The directors will review all nominations and select the chairperson who best personifies the qualifications outlined. The winner will be announced and honored at our annual training.
