Elks Drug Awareness Commission Annual Training

Agenda – Saturday June 28th

7:30 AM

  • Training room is open for all Chairs. Please be prompt – Seats will be assigned, so please look for your State.
  • Introduce yourself to anyone you do not recognize. This will be your seat for the next two days.
  • Your spouse or guests are welcome to attend the training, but they will need to sit in the back.
  • After the training ends for the day, the doors will be locked and your stuff should be safe, however please don’t leave valuables like your lap-top overnight…during the day it will be okay.

7:45 AM

  • All Chairs be seated – Prayer & Pledge of Allegiance, followed by Roll Call.
  • Please answer present when your State is called. Housekeeping announcements.

8:00 AM

  • Introduction of Directors & Areas of Responsibility – This program is a shared responsibility for us and for you!
  • We will review everyone’s contact information and make any necessary corrections.

8:15 AM

  • Information and Sharing of Information – Quarterly Reports- Results of your work as we know it.
  • If you do not tell us…we don’t know it. CLMS/Charitable Trust Reports – Do you know what this is? Can you access it?

8:30 AM

  • Web Sites – We have many. Let’s get comfortable navigating them-Very Important – Training Website

9:30 AM

  • Break – Please be back in your seats in 15 minutes

9:45 AM

  • Ordering Literature – “What Heroes Do” – Discuss How to Get Into Schools
  • Q&A – Literature needs to be distributed age appropriate – You are the CEO-Lodges cannot order materials-Only you can! – Blue Folders

  • Lunch Break – please return by 12:45

  • End in time to catch shuttle if needed – they stop running at 5:00pm
