National Directors Guide

Leading the Mission

National Directors provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Elks Drug Awareness Program (DAP), ensuring that its vision, initiatives, and resources effectively reach communities across the country. Their role is pivotal in shaping the program’s direction, partnerships, and national impact.

By guiding State, District, and Lodge Chairs, National Directors ensure that every level of the organization is aligned in its mission to educate, prevent, and empower communities in the fight against substance abuse.

Where National Directors Fit in the Structure

As the highest leadership level within the DAP, National Directors oversee and support the entire program:

  • National Directors – Develop national initiatives, establish strategic partnerships, and provide leadership for all program levels.
  • State Chairs – Implement national initiatives at the state level and oversee District Chairs.
  • District Chairs – Serve as liaisons between State Chairs and Lodge Chairs, ensuring successful program execution.
  • Lodge Chairs – Lead community-based outreach and education efforts at the local level.
  • Ambassadors – Use their influence, platforms, and expertise to promote drug awareness and expand the program’s reach.

National Directors ensure that each leadership level has the support, resources, and guidance needed to successfully carry out the program’s initiatives.
