Elks Drug Awareness Video Contest
The Elks Drug Awareness Program Video Contest is an engaging opportunity for young visionaries to convey their perspectives on drug awareness through the dynamic medium of video storytelling. By participating, individuals and groups can create compelling narratives that resonate with their peers and communities, reinforcing the importance of drug-free living.
Eligibility and Rules
Age Categories:
- Pre-High School
- High School
Participants: May consist of individual entrants or groups.
Video Duration: Submissions must be between 2 and 5 minutes.
Submission Format: Videos should be submitted on a Flash Drive or similar portable media in a widely compatible format.
Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated on:
- Relevance to the contest theme.
- Presentation neatness.
- Creativity and originality.
- Age-appropriateness and suitable language.
- The positivity of the message conveyed.
- Overall video quality (clarity, sound, editing).
Mandatory Entry Details
All submissions must include on the entry form:
- Full name of the student(s) or group.
- School name, location, and grade level.
- Sponsoring Elks Lodge name.
- A signed Hold Harmless Agreement.
- A signed release form for minors, where applicable.
- USB Flash Drive or similar portable media containing the video.

Submission Deadline
Please reach out to your local Elks Lodge or Elks State Association for the specific due date and additional submission guidelines. National deadline is April 1st.
Selection and Advancement
- Local Level: Elks Lodges will identify and notify the top video entries.
- Progression: Winners will advance through District and State Level Competitions.
- Rights: All entries submitted become the exclusive property of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and are non-returnable.
National Spotlight
State Drug Awareness Chairpersons will select one outstanding video for national honors. The winning entry will be entered into the National Contest and may be showcased on the Elks Kids Zone Website and/or featured in ENF or DAP publications.
